Our Committee & Run Leaders
Committee
Our committee members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting in late Spring.

Chris is our money man! As a not-for-profit club, he ensure that we have the funds to keep the club running smoothly, including funds to provide free drinks every now and again!

Michael joined the club in 2017, and manages all of the races we do, so do let him know if you think there are any good ones coming up! He is also our resident marathon guru, having run over 100 himself!

Josie manages all of the club social media, as well as the weekly newsletter. Josie officially became a member in 2021 but was first seen repping the orange vest as a 7 year-old in 2011!

Beth ensures a smooth running of the club, managing the diary, club details, and our relationship with England Athletics. Any questions can be sent to Beth at info@claphampioneers.co.uk.

Jo was at the first ever Pioneers Tuesday night back in 2009 and has been a key member in the club ever since! As chairperson, Jo embodies the Pioneers spirit which makes us such a special club.

Edd is the official "friendly face" of the club! As membership sec, he sorts all of our subs, and is the guy you want to talk to if you're keen to become a member!

Matt is our social sec! Matt joined the club in 2021 and is an excellent runner. He is in charge of all social activities, including organising the Christmas party, celebratory meals and drinks, and our regular Tuesday night pub trip!

Chloe is one of the two head leaders and welfare officers for the club. Her experience as a mid-pack runner and of returning from injury means she always advocates for inclusivity to ensure all can participate and feel part of the club.

Another member of the Pioneers since the very first session in 2009, Will is one of our prized club veterans! As a long standing Run Leader at the club, Will is on hand to provide running assistance & support.
Run Leaders
They're a friendly bunch who put inclusivity at the heart of every session, while keeping things fun, varied, and as challenging as you want them to be.

Chloe has been running 'seriously' since mid 2000's, and has experience at distances up to 100miles, and of self supported multi day adventures on trails. Her favourite session to lead is a pyramid session - so long as she can stay focused on the timings.

Another member of the Pioneers since the very first session in 2009, Will is one of our prized club veterans! As a long standing Run Leader at the club, Will is on hand to provide running assistance & support.

Kirstie is a(nother) long standing member of the club, and has been a run leader since 2017. She joined the club to find running friends and to train for her first marathon, a distance that had always felt unachievable before. Kirstie's favourite session to coach is hills.

Rich is another club veteran and one of our newer run leaders. He is a master of all distances from the track to marathons and is on hand to offer his advice whatever your goal.

Johan is one of the newer additions to our Run Leaders group. Having run casually since university, Johan was keen to join the Pioneers to get some more structured training in. He's a keen runner and loves a good hills session!

Rob, a run leader since 2019, is always up for a long run and a chat! As a man of logistics, he is always thinking of creative ways to lead our regular interval sessions based on a theme.

Lindsay joined the Clapham Pioneers in 2016 and has been a Run Leader since 2018. While she loves a pyramid session her favourite distance is 100m (max)!

From parkrun to ultra marathons, Paul is there to support and champion all runners whatever their goal. Paul's favourite session to lead is the monthly Battersea 5k where he can watch members continue to reach their goals.
